Executive Wellness

A fully bespoke, adaptive 1:1 retainer for senior leaders. Not a fixed syllabus delivered on a schedule. A programme that follows your body, your calendar, and your week — and adjusts in real time when either of them changes.

Private 1:1 · Fully online · Flexible schedule · Monthly retainer

"Most fitness approaches ask you to fit into a programme. I am not interested in that. I want to know what your body is carrying this week — and work from there. The programme is always a response to the person, not the other way around."

— Soma Mukherjee

  • Full scheduling flexibility — rescheduling at short notice

WHY GENERIC APPROACHES FAIL HERE

Your body does not have a predictable week. Your programme should not either.

Every structured fitness programme assumes something the senior leader cannot guarantee: consistency of schedule, consistency of location, and a body that is in roughly the same state week to week. None of those assumptions hold at Director level or above.

For most senior leaders, the body has been running on years of sustained pressure — not one stressful week, but a decade of high-stakes decisions. That long accumulation quietly wears down immunity, sleep, weight, and patience. This is not burnout. It is a slow build-up that most leaders only notice when it becomes unmistakable.

At the same time, years of high-intensity desk work and travel produce specific musculoskeletal patterns: thoracic kyphosis (upper back rounding), anterior pelvic tilt (chronic lower back compression), and forward head posture — which alone adds up to 10–12kg of effective load on the cervical spine. These are not cosmetic issues. They compress breathing, restrict thoracic mobility needed for deep sleep, and create the chronic neck and shoulder tension most leaders consider simply part of the job.

The recovery system requires both physical decompression and nervous system downregulation — and they must be done in the right sequence, at the right intensity, on a given day. That is not something an app, a recorded class, or a generic 8-week programme can provide.

That is what this retainer does. Every session Soma designs for you begins with where you actually are — physically, physiologically, and mentally — on that day. The practice follows you.

A senior leader's week: tall bars of demands every day, with only slivers of recovery — the deficit compounds, because recovery never gets scheduled with the same seriousness as demands.what the week demandswhat the week gives backMonTueWedThuFriSatSunthe deficit compounds quietly, week after weekRecovery rarely fails for lack of intent. WHAT EACH SESSION DRAWS FROM

Four domains. Applied in proportion to what you need today.

Postural Recovery & Structural Decompression

Targeted work on the thoracic spine, hip flexors, neck, and lower back. Corrective movements to undo the cumulative load of sitting, screen time, and travel. Adjusted to your current pain markers — not a fixed exercise list.

Draws on: Yoga therapy · Ashtanga · Somatic movement

Nervous System Regulation & Stress Recovery

Breathing practices that bring the body's stress levels back into a sustainable range. Evidence-based, measurable, no mysticism required.

Draws on: Pranayama · modern breath science

Sleep Architecture & Recovery Design

Pre-sleep movement sequences, Yoga Nidra, and cognitive wind-down protocols that address the real reasons leaders sleep poorly — not the quality of their mattress, but the state of their nervous system when they lie down.

Draws on: Yoga Nidra · deep guided rest · proven sleep techniques

Metabolic & Energy Management

Nutrition timing, movement activation, and Ayurvedic lifestyle principles that sustain cognitive energy through long meeting days, reduce the afternoon crash, and support metabolic health over the medium term.

Draws on: Nutrition science · Ayurvedic principles · Movement activation
HOW THE RETAINER WORKS

Not a programme you complete. A practice that compounds.

01

Your first session

A 60-minute intake conversation and physical assessment. Soma maps your posture, your sleep patterns, your stress profile, your travel and meeting schedule, and your current movement baseline. No forms — a direct conversation. This session sets the shape of everything that follows.

02

The ongoing practice

Two sessions per week, each adapted to where you are that day. A heavy travel week looks different from a desk week. A session after a difficult board meeting looks different from a recovery Friday. Soma checks in at the start of each session and builds the practice from that response. The direct channel means you can flag anything between sessions.

03

After a structured programme

Several clients begin with a structured programme — Sleep Restore or Stress Reset — and move onto the Executive Wellness Retainer when the structured work is complete. The retainer then maintains and deepens the gains. This is a common and well-supported progression, and Soma designs the transition explicitly.

FROM A CLIENT

"She was really good at offering advice specifically tailor-made for an individual. She just brings lots of smiles. If asked to recommend a corporate fitness guru, Soma would be at the top of my radar."

QUESTIONS

What people ask before committing.

What does the retainer include?
Two live 1:1 sessions per week (45 minutes each), a direct priority channel with Soma for questions between sessions, and complete scheduling flexibility including rescheduling at short notice. Session content is adapted each week to your physical state, your schedule, and what your body is showing. Monthly review covers posture, sleep, stress, and energy markers.
How is this different from a standard yoga or fitness programme?
A standard programme runs on a fixed syllabus. The Executive Wellness Retainer has no fixed syllabus — each session is built around what your body and schedule need that week. A heavy travel week looks different from a desk week. A session after a demanding board meeting is not the same as a Friday recovery session. The programme follows you, not the other way around.
How much time does it actually require?
Typically two 45-minute sessions per week. Some clients prefer one longer session during quieter weeks. The retainer is designed around the reality that senior leaders cannot commit to a rigid schedule — flexibility is built in, not an afterthought.
Can this run alongside another Body Breath Well programme?
Yes. Many clients begin with a structured programme — Sleep Restore or Stress Reset — and transition onto the Executive Wellness Retainer when the structured work is complete. The retainer then maintains and extends those gains. Soma designs the transition explicitly.
Is this delivered online or in person?
Fully online, via video call. This is intentional — the retainer is designed to work with your actual life, whether you are in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, or travelling internationally. No commute, no fixed studio, no dependency on a local location.

"The leaders I work with are not looking for motivation. They have plenty of that. What they need is a practice that actually fits the life they have — and a practitioner who can tell the difference between the two."
